An Exercise in Excessive Presumptuousness

As presumptuous as it is to assume the dodgers might get past the next round and on to the world series, I will. I'm going to assume they win against the phillies.
But I can't say I'm looking forward to a red sox dodgers world series. 'Why?' you ask, Bizut? Because the sox freakin' scayuh me!If I had to list the teams the dodgers have the best chance against in the world series in decreasing odds it would be the other sox, the angels, the rays, and then the red sox. Sure it would be dramatic and interesting of course. Most dramatic will be Manny facing the red sox. A baby step down in the dramatic level would be Torre vs. Francona except Torre is managing some team in white and blue instead of white and black pinstripes. The only other thing that will be familiar will be the opposing team has a few red sox traitors on it besides Manny (Lowe, Nomar, and Mueller's in the front office). Besides that it's a total gray area. The dodgers have never faced the red sox in the post season evuh. I hope it doesn't go down like that, forgive me, in-law. You've had 2 world series championships in the last 5 seasons. All I've got is Gibson's homer and a bunch of first round sweeps of my team to go on here. I can still root for them to finish off the angels, since it seems rather inevitable now. But the gloves are off once the sox advance!

I think your exercise in excessive presumptuousness can include Boston advancing to the ALCS. If the Angels force a Game 5, I don't see them losing to Dice-K twice in this series -- especially if Matsuzaka does his usual 5 walks/5 innings/100+ pitches routine again. Every time he pitches, I'm scayuhed.
