Buh-Bye Barry!

Thankfully my moratorium on posting helped the blue regain their winning ways and jump into first place on the back of the futility of Barry Bonds. I like that. I like it a lot. I like seeing Barry swinging and missing and grounding into double plays. As a person born in Los Angeles, California I guess it's kinda in my DNA. As long as the dodger pitching staff can keep Barry in the park for the rest of July and that first week of August I won't have to see replays the rest of my life of Barry Bonds hitting his 756'th homer off some unfortunate dodger pitcher like D.J. Houlton who just recently got called up again as Emperor Tsao went back on the DL with a shoulder strain.

I think Garciaparra is hurt. I think so because of some of his body language. Specifically, he was holding his side as he walked back to the dugout in the Saturday game. Speaking of Nomar, the wife and I were especially talkative during the game about Nomar's apparently OCD'ish behavior. Wifey read an old article about it (yes it's a times article but no, it's not by Plashke) out loud for our mutual enjoyment. Hopefully his results, if not his routines, do change. He looks so frustrated lately. I guess that could be because he's close to losing his job and all. I think Betemit is the better option at third base, but I like Nomar as the nice guy that he is. The best resolution I can think of is he asks for a trade to the Angels or calls it a career because the blue have run out of places for him to play.

Hopefully my superstitions are baseless and this posting will not cause another string of inconsistent play that mostly results in losses.
