I'm really happy for the early lead this evening. Especially happy with the homer by Russell Martin and the confident, pitch count running at bats by Andre Ethier. It's also good to see some former dodgers doing good in the city that famously booed santa. The flyin' Hawaiian Shane Victorino who was let go for nothing twice in the rule 5 draft is showing he can be a decent starting center fielder for 4-5 years or so.
Update at 540pm pst-- The Bombko went off, the Phillies took the lead, and Martin/Tomko almost got ejected on a ball 4 call that walked in a run. Now we need the guy who stumbled not to fall.

The Bomb is Ticking
...And another run comes in making it 3-2 dodgers. You can try to defuse the Bombko but you end up only delaying the explosion. Tomko went from a prince in a carraige ready to take out Cinderella to a grizzled surfer looking guy that looks like he belongs on Venice beach somewhere.
As I was saying there is also Jayson Werth who when he's not injured is also playing for the Phillies. I liked him, but he was always injured. I believe on the fanhome message boards his cousin would give some inside info on how he was doing.
Another aside is my better half works with a guy who is a personal friend of outfielder Aaron Rowand. My wife is just a dodger fan and isn't fairly familiar with the rest of the league so when the guy name dropped that he text messages an mlb player my wife wasn't all that impressed, but she did remember to mention it to me so I could lock down what guy on the phillies her co-worker was talking about. Haven't asked the wife to relay any questions to Mr. friend of Aaron Rowand or anything like that and she hasn't worked with him for a while.
Anyways, small world.
Remember to hold your ears when Brett Tomko implodes. Hopefully they can score a few more runs.
