Excuse my regurgitation, but if I ever decide to look back at this offseason I can see how my thoughts of what I would want the dodgers to do change as transactions occur. - Trade Pierre.
- Trade Kent or let him retire because of his bad attitude.
- Trade for Miguel Cabrera with no more than LaRoche, Elbert, Meloan, and Pierre with cash or Firmly commit to LaRoche as the dodgers third baseman.
- Leave Santana alone until I can figure out what he's worth giving up :)
- Don't trade for Erik Bedard under any circumstances.
- Sign Andruw Jones or trade for Rios, Crawford, Victorino, Willits, or Cody Ross (yeah, I've given up all hope for Ellsbury).
- Trade Furcal while he's still valuable and let Abreu and/or Hu have the job.
- Get an extra draft pick for offering compensation to Gonzo (he won't accept because he knows he won't have a starting job).
- Sign a starting pitcher like Kuroda, Wolf, or even (as a last resort) David Wells if he wants to come back.
- Announce some semi-high profile latin free agent player signings showing the team is committed to paying for talent over there again.
O.K. I think that's it for now. I don't expect many of these to happen. I am not going into who people I wished traded get traded for and I won't propose who the dodgers give up to acquire guys wished for. I didn't even get too specific on contracts. We'll see what I wish for next week or so.
