Young and Kuo are locks to make the team now

This kinda old news, but I was away for a little whiles.  As was kind of expected, Kuo and Young will get their chance on the big club opening day because they are out of options and some of the injuries.  I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that Kuo will win the 5'th starting job from Loaiza.  I think Young may will get some time at second base should Abreu keep getting nagging injuries while he fills in at third and Kent is unable to play.  That scenario will also mean time for Hu.  I don't see Young getting time in left even though that's the position he can actually play defensively.

Meanwhile the other developing story is how completely Andre Ethier is winning the left field starting job from Juan Pierre and what the heck is going to happen with that.  I hope they give the job to Ethier.  He's been held down despite performing by the team for the last two years or so.  He wasn't supposed to be this good when we traded for him, but after three years you just have to admit he is and let the guy play.  For what it's worth, in Vegas two years ago before he was called up, he looked just as good at the plate as Loney did.  They looked confident, like they had a plan up at the plate.  Willy Aybar also had that kind of look at the plate.  Hopefully Aybar gets whatever is bothering him put behind him and just plays to his ability.

I watched Hu's crazy triple the other night.  Crazier still was Joey Gathright literally jumping over dodgers pitcher Hiroki Kuroda running down the first base line for a single.  It's probably on YouTube.  You have to see it.

Predictions:
Oh yeah, in addition to that Kuo winning the 5'th spot in the rotation, I'm predicting Kent won't play for the first two weeks of the season and will be DL'd within the week.
