More Baseball Please!

I need more baseball. The news sucks badly. The economy sucks. The politicians suck. There isn't even much news to read regarding the dodgers except this fluff piece on Don Mattingly. I don't agree with it at all. He was the hitting coach before Manny and after Manny. Manny got the team hitting by relieving some of the pressure to produce from the rest of the lineup, not because Don Mattingly is a great hitting coach, which I have no real way of knowing, but the premise of the article is kind of ridiculous. Added to that Mark freaking Sweeney is talking about how hard work translates into better performance. If he's already working hard, I can't imagine what it would take to turn Sweeney into anything near MLB level production. Anyways, Mattingly doesn't take credit and I'm not mad at him. I'm barely mad at the journalist because there's not much to write about right now.
