Torre Channels Grady Little

Dodgers lose 3-2. Lowe gives up a 2 run homer in the 6'th. Visit to the mound. Lowe stays in and gives up another homer to Burell. Can't fault the defense or anything. Can't fault the dodgers' at-bats all that much either. I yelled a few epithets on strikeout swings.

On the brighter side, we knew coming in that the dodgers got swept here and that one out of two in Philly would be considered a good way to bring the series back to L.A.

I bet on the dodgers. It was at a local casino (Fiesta). Some guy walking in front of me up to the sportsbook farted and then kinda changed direction while subtly looking behind himself a tiny bit embarrassed that he didn't realize someone was behind him. It smelled so bad, and I am the kind of guy that knows a bit about that sort of thing. He should probably get himself checked out. I then got the first degree from the --I don't know what you call the bet takers-- even after I prefaced things with, "I'm not a big better so go easy on me, please." So he was mildly a jerk and I was profusely apologetic for not knowing how to order my two little bets. I made sure to wait until I was the only guy there (well, people really went in front of me, but I just didn't say anything so then I just kinda hung around until there was nobody else to cut in front of me) at the sportsbook before I bet just because I myself wouldn't want to stand behind a douche who took 10 minutes to make his bets because he didn't know what the heck he was doing. Anyways, $20 for the dodgers to win the world series, $40 for them to win the series against the phillies. I think I may have jinxed them.

Want me to put some money on the sox for you, Bizut? I didn't look up the odds, I'm assuming it's not that big of a payout as the rays aren't probably favored to win over the sox.
