My Best Friends Aren't Dodger Fans

It took me so much to type that I felt like I was at an AA meeting or something.  Two weeks or so ago my brother-in-law and good friend stayed a little while to celebrate shark week on the discovery channel.  He's a good guy but he's a red sox fan.  Pretty much all we could do is put down J.D. Drew, Julio Lugo, Bill Mueller, and Grady Little.  That can last a while but it will get boring rather quickly.  Couldn't put down 'ole Shea as my b.i.l. had already left by that time.

So like a week after I drop off my brother in law at McCarren airport my old college friend with a similar name drops by the area for 3 or 4 days to celebrate a birthday with a relative and I got to see him during some down time at a time share he traded for.  My college friend is from southern california, but in our college days I believe he didn't even know the rules of the game much less the teams and players.  I get back in touch with him and he's a freaking padres fan1?!  What the!?!  Suffice it to say there were conflicting emotions when I saw the guy for the first time in 6 years or so.  One of my best friends decides to adopt baseball as a sport he follows and he adopts the freaking padres just because he so happens to have moved down there to lead a very happy life with his new, not even 90 pound wife...because SHE's a fan!?!
Talk about feeling betrayed...

Wish I'd come up with this post before the food post.  Oh well, my faithful audience of about 6-10 eyes will just have to read them both.
