I Wish...

this mini winning streak turns into a mega-monster-momentum-standings-changing streak.

they'd get Wells already and bump Tomko or the AAA+ montage out of the rotation.

Tomko's performances were less like a box of chocolates.

they'd experiment with Proctor as a 5'th starter limited to 5 innings or 80 pitches.

that they quickly forget about the idea of adding Jose Contreras.

Russell Martin ran on energizer batteries.

there was a law that required all dodger dogs to be grilled.

Wolf can pick up a ball and throw his curve soon. And if he's nice maybe re-sign him to another 1 year 9 million deal again.

Tomko would take over the Roberto Hernandez role of pitching way ahead or way behind.

Roberto Hernandez would've spontaneously retired after that 1,000'th appearance.

Kuo will come back strong in September.

the dodgers would've found a way to keep Joel Hanrahan (like jettisoning D.J. Houlton or another AAA+ pitcher to move Joel up the depth chart).

in the alternative that the dodgers would re-acquire Joel Hanrahan.

that Pierre stays hot in the .obp and steals departments for the rest of the season.

Ethier and Kemp didn't have to be platooned.

they'd signed Blair since they could always use another potential star pitcher, but I'm not heartbroken.

Saito doesn't pull the I may retire routine and just asks for a one year 1.5-2 million deal if he intends on playing next season.

they had less pitching injuries.

that Broxton buys a treadmill this offseason.

they completely ignore A-Rod this offseason except to ask his agent if he'd be willing to move to DH.

Nomar would be willing to accept a non-everyday utility role, because he probably needs to.

that despite his lesser role they keep playing the Nomar van commercial since it is possibly the best baseball commercial ever thought up by an ad agency.

they would call up Jonathan Meloan already. He's become either a myth or a set of good silverware that is never seen because the family has become dysfunctional and no longer has meals on holidays.

somebody important from the team reads this and laughs.

in the alternative that at least one person besides myself actually reads this and laugh.
