If this first inning is an indication of the season the dodgers will have, I'm feeling pretty good about them. But, I have to keep telling myself, 'The giants really, really suck, so don't feel too good about the dodgers pounding Zito'. And in addition, Juan Pierre is not in the lineup. I guess that's all I've got to say about that.
The dodgers are going with DeWitt at third instead of Hu, but Hu did make the team, which I like. Eric Hull, the guy that was kind of indistinguishable from Eric Stults was released. I saw Hull in Vegas and wasn't really impressed with his stuff. I'm pleasantly surprised that they went with the Angel Chavez guy instead of good 'ole Ramon Martinez. They must have been pretty impressed with Chavez. It doesn't really matter all that much because they'll play Hu before Chavez if another infielder goes down or needs a day off.
Blake DeWitt (the guy that looks like my father in law) got a hit in his first major league at bat.
