The Calvary is on it's Way.

So the Dodgers are a half game out in the NL west. They are playing a series against the Devil Rays. Unlike Grady has said to the press, this series is the important one. It's important because these should be easy wins. If they sweep this series or at least win 2 out of the 3 they set themselves up to face the D-Backs in a stronger position. The D-Backs also have a punching bag this series as they face the most expensive bullpen in the majors of Baltimore. I predict whichever team does better in their current 3 game stretch will end up taking at least 2 out of the three in the LA/AZ matchup.

Our trouble, besides not hitting enough homers, is arms dropping like flies.

Little indicated reliever Chin-hui-Tsao would probably require a Minor League assignment next week as he returns from a sore shoulder.

We are going to really need him soon as the bullpen is going to probably get thin as Billingsley transitions to a starter. Rudy Seanez just seems like a ticking time bomb. Eventually he's going to blow up and stop being able to get guys out. He needs help in the form of some more middle relievers. I'd want to give the chance to Meloan but for some reason they haven't chosen to give him a sip of joe.

A little bad news from the same article is that LaRoche is going on the DL. He hadn't been playing and now we know why. At least it didn't mean a trade was imminent. His shoulder troubles scare me. Maybe his stock will drop because of the history of a bum shoulder and lack of power ever since.

Also from the same article an update that wasn't really an update on Schmidt states that the Dr. that operated had plenty of help from the famous Dr. Jobe who was helping him out over a speaker phone.

Please win, Dodgers. I'm begging you.
